Jaguar Mark 2 Redesigned By Ian Callum
Talk about your employee discounts. While working at The Gap gets you like, 5% off itchy socks, Jaguar’s design director Ian Callum has been blessed with this beautifully modified Jaguar Mark 2.
The Mark 2 had a good run in the 60s as a roomy luxury sedan, but this version is everything you’d want in a modern day Jag, only in the skin of a classic car. Callum redesigned the Mark 2 to his liking, with Classic Motor Cars Limited taking 18 months to build it out. On the outside there’s a new front bumper, along with a more streamlined approach to the bodywork. The interior features a flip-out multimedia screen, speakers set in custom-built housings, a dashboard with black wood veneer and white-faced dials, and oodles of sexy red leather. Under the hood is a new 4.3 liter XK V8 engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission, though there’s no word on how fast it goes. But when you look this good, it matters much less.
