Jaguar F-Type Project 7
If you thought Jaguar was bluffing with just a concept when it showed the F-Type Project 7 last year during the annual Goodwood Festival of Speed in the U.K., you were pleasantly mistaken.
The esteemed British automaker will be building 250 street-legal examples of this road demon worldwide, each with a supercharged 5.0L V8 engine that produces a whopping 575 horsepower. 0 to 60 is said to happen in just 3.8 seconds, with a top speed of 186 mph. The Project 7 also features carbon ceramic brakes, an active differential with rear torque vectoring, an uprated suspension, lightened body, and a foldable cloth top. It’s the first official project built by Jaguar’s new Special Operations engineering team. Deliveries of the Project 7 will begin in the summer of 2015. No word yet on a price.
