For those who are more tech dependent these days there’s nothing more frightening than a dying smartphone, or vacationing in the backcountry without a reasonable power source. And without these devices at the ready, users too often feel like they’re back in the stone ages, having to resort to more primitive means of survival. Not today thanks to the Jackery Power Pro, a portable 578 watt-hour battery generator.
Each Jackery comes equipped with an 110V AC, a DC cigarette lighter, two 6mm 12V DC and two 5V USB outputs. It’s rechargeable with an optional solar panel and can power anything from a mini fridge for up to 10 hours to a TV for four hours to hosting the ability to recharge a smartphone 45 times or provide 12V/5W lighting for over 100 hours straight. You can also keep up with the amount of juice available via a real-time LCD display embedded in the Jackery’s splash-proof body. There’s also a built-in flashlight as well to light things up when not in use. It’s available now for reservation on Kickstarter and is set to retail at $799. [Purchase]
