Instabeat Goggles: Swimmer’s Google Glass

Category: Tech

While Google Glass has been at the center of technology talk over the past few months, the designers behind the Instabeat have introduced a somewhat similar gadget focused on competitive swimming.

While we love technology, we especially love technology that’s geared towards athletes. The Instabeat is a heads-up display monitor that straps to goggles, allowing swimmers to view an assortment of vitals during their sessions. The device reads swimmer’s heart rates via the chest belt, and displays the information in a color code pattern that makes it easier for athletes to hit/maintain the desired heart rate zone. It also displays a ton of other useful information including lap times, breathing frequency, and calories burned. Of course all of the data can be synced with your computer, which seems to be a given with any device like this during this day and age. Learn more in the video below. [Via]
