When blasting the treacherous paths that serious trail runners and outdoorsmen seek, it’s vital to maintain a strong grip. That starts from the bottom up. The new Inov-8 G-Series shoes allow you to stay securely stuck to the terrain, so the trail will never catch you slipping.
By partnering with the National Graphene Institute, Inov-8 has chosen to eschew the hard and sticky rubbers that most outdoor shoes utilize, instead installing a new, intensely researched material for their latest series. The “G” in Inov-8’s G-Series stands for Graphene, a ground-breaking (and ground-clinging) composite that offers the tautest grip possible. Three new models – the Mudclaw G 260 all-terrain shoe, the Terraultra G 260 long distance runners, and the F-Lite G 290 gym shoe – will be available July 12. Inov-8 says that the G-Series prototypes lasted for over 1,000 miles during testing before finally wearing thin. That means you could run 38 marathons in a pair of these Graphene-infused sneaks, and still have enough tread left to hit Jamba Juice on your way home. Inov-8 avers that their Graphene soles are 50% stronger, 50% more elastic, and 50% harder than traditional rubber. With Kevlar uppers, these shoes are built for the long haul.
