Indian Scout Bobber ‘Chopper’ By Alfredo Juarez
There’s no denying the technological prowess it takes to be a NASA engineer, but we assumed that most of the job was theoretical, rather than hands-on. In the case of Alfredo Juarez, however, we were very wrong. As it turns out, in his spare time, Juarez is a top-tier grease monkey. In fact, his latest project — the Scout Bobber ‘Chopper’ you see before you — just won him a cool $10,000 in Indian’s Scout Bobber Build-Off competition.
Chosen by popular vote alongside a panel of expert judges — which included Roland Sands, Jordan Mastagni, Satya Kraus, and Jason Paul Michaels — this ’80s-inspired custom chopper took home 1st place overall. And, with its impeccably-executed detail work (just look at that gorgeous copper cowl) and sound minimalist overall design, it’s easy to see why. Unfortunately, for any interested parties, Alfredo has no plans to sell the bike. In fact, he plans to ride it with the intention of, eventually, passing it down to his daughter. Can’t say we wouldn’t do the same.
