Inboard M1 Electric Skateboard

Breaking into the electric skateboard market is far from an easy thing to do right now. There are a lot of companies turning out what people consider to be very good boards. Inboard, however, believes that their M1 Electric Skateboard is unique enough to beat out the competition. After looking this thing over, it’s hard not to think that they might be right.

Instead of opting for a belt-drive motor that sits on the underside of the board, the M1 integrates the motor into the wheels with something they’re calling Manta Drive. A distinction without a difference? Most definitely not. These integrated 1600 watt dual rear drive motors make it so your ride is both smoother, and more easy to control while jamming around town at up to 24 miles an hour. Along with this innovation, Inboard has made it easier to swap out batteries. After reaching the maximum range of 10 miles, you can just pop open the top of the board, and throw in a brand new battery pack and you’ll be good to go for another 7-10 more. More of a night rider? The integrated super bright LED front and rear lights make it easier to be seen while cruising through the city. Not bad, not bad at all. Prices are set at $1,400. [Purchase]
