Don’t get us wrong, we love our iMacs. The design of Apple’s latest iteration is second to none, but reaching around the backside of the monitor to plug in mobile devices/thumb drives can become quite annoying – not to mention the fact that it’s hard not to scratch things up back there. iMacCompanion is a simple solution for this problem.

While there are other options on the market, iMacCompanion is one of the simplest, and sturdiest we’ve seen to date. It also adds functionality without compromising the beautiful design aesthetics of the iMac. The device hooks up to the base of your computer’s stand, and although there is only one USB 3.0 port, you can add several more with ease. The project is just beginning to hit the retail scene after a successful run on Kickstarter, and can be scooped up for $39. [Purchase]
