IKEA x NASA Rumtid Furniture Collection

Jun 29, 2018

Category: Living

In spite of being a government organization, NASA has collaborated with a number of style brands on some really cool apparel. Now, however, they’ve teamed up with the likes of IKEA to create the Rumtid Collection – a series of space-inspired home furnishings that may very well end up at the first Mars colony.

Okay, so maybe that’s a bit ambitions. Still, these minimalist home furnishings are just the kind of thing we’d expect to see at an off-world outpost. The collection includes what appears to be modular plumbing-inspired block furniture, retro-futuristic terrariums, air purifiers, unique lighting fixtures, and more. But you don’t have to be a starship captain to get your hands on this minimalist gear, as it will hit stores by 2020 around the world.
