iKamper X-Cover Rooftop Tent

Unless you own a bus or a limousine, you usually have to choose between a rooftop tent and a roof rack for your gear – or come up with another solution, like a camping trailer. The folks at iKamper, however, are trying to make your life a whole lot easier and more convenient with their X-Cover rooftop tent.

With its hardshell case and soft-side design, this tent is both incredibly durable and super simple to set up – requiring just 2-3 minutes to erect. And it’s spacious enough to suit up to 4 people comfortably. The thing even has a moonroof, so you can watch the stars at night from the safety of the tent. But, what might be the coolest thing about this rig is that it requires no cover – the shell protects the collapsed tent from the outside world – and that it doubles as a gear-hauling roof rack, so you can mount your mountain bike, kayak, skis, snowboard, or whatever else atop it. It hasn’t launched for sale just yet, but you can sign up through iKamper for alerts and be the first to pre-order this revolutionary rooftop tent.
