Your house has a driveway, so why shouldn’t your houseboat? This is the simple line of questioning that inspired the HydroHouse.

Right now only a concept, this one-of-a-kind houseboat provides ample room for hydroplane pilots to park their crafts without having to set foot on the mainland. The houseboat is designed to be constructed completely offsite and then put together in large pieces before heading out on its maiden voyage. Measuring in at 15 meters in length and featuring a total area of 76 square meters, the boat has room for three bedrooms (one master, two guest), a kitchen, living room, and a bathroom. Up top the HydroHouse boasts plenty of space for sunbathing or getting some serious rest and relaxation under a the solar-panel canopy. And for the environmentally minded – don’t worry – that same canopy helps power the boat’s appliances and two electric engines.
