As of late, there’s been an onslaught of promising new EV’s across the auto industry, with more and more manufacturers announcing their commitment to sustainable transport. And while their two-wheeled counterparts have been somewhat slower to the draw, that’s not to say that they’ve been sitting idle. Rather, as evidenced by Husqvarna’s latest teaser, we’re right on the cusp of the motorcycle’s electrified future.
Meet the E-Pilen, an emission-free concept that offers a preview of what’s to come from the Swedish manufacturer. Its design takes inspiration from the Vitpilen and Svartpilen, with a large singular body panel reminiscent of their monocoque tank setups. The stance itself is also pretty similar, kicking up at the tail overtop its rear monoshock suspension. However, you won’t find any engine or petrol-powered accouterments here; instead, it makes use of an 8kW motor offering a 100km range. Sure, those numbers might suggest range anxiety, but they should be perfect for work commutes and quick weekend spins — especially when you consider that the battery can be easily swapped out for a fresh one. At this point, the rest of the details are scarce, but you can follow along at the link below.
