Hupomone Ranch in California
A man’s home can say a lot about that said man, and that’s exactly the case with this dwelling. In an attempt to reflect their commitment to sustainable farming, this young family transformed an old barn house into a stunning modern residence.
The owner commissioned Turnbull Griffin Haesloop Architects to design what is now crowned the Hupomone Ranch. The dwelling is nestled on a sprawling 160 acres in California’s Chileno Valley, and shares a close connection with the outdoors. Seeing that the family has three children, they needed plenty of space to raise them. The home features 2,498 square feet, which includes a beautiful open living room that sees rays of sunshine beaming through the tall floor to ceiling windows. The interior features concrete floors used throughout, with white wood-clad walls, plenty of windows for natural light, and a stunning swimming pool in the backyard complete with views of the rolling hills.
