Hunting Lodge Man Cave Project

Think you can’t achieve an amazing atmosphere in your basement? Redditor Kelhans loves hunting and refused to not have a room in his home that immersed him in the age-old art of slaying beasts. The craziest part about the whole renovation? The materials used only cost $107.

Kelhans went with old crate wood that a local metal company was using for shipping, employing a draw knife to make each board look hand cut. A fake roof was installed in case of plumbing repairs are needed, while faux columns cover the steel floor supports and maintain the hunters lodge vibe. We gotta give props to his use of props too, as the exterior window is actually just a photograph lit from behind, and the fireplace is fake, but made of real stone and reclaimed barn wood with real burn marks on the floor.
