Whether you like them or not, electric cars aren’t going anywhere. It’s looking more and more like the majority of new cars will be all-electric by the end of the decade, and that means we’re likely to see a lot of innovation within the industry over the next few years. And that’s certainly the case with the Humble One SUV concept from Humble Motors.
Humble Motors is a tech company that’s focused on creating the cleanest vehicles possible through the use of solar technology, thus solving the biggest hurdle to widespread EV adoption: the lack of charging facilities. The Humble One utilizes 80 square feet of Humble’s specially-developed and highly-efficient solar cells on the roof, sidelites, passenger doors, and even on “solar wings” that fold out when the car is parked. This plethora of panels can up 10-60 additional miles of driving range to the car, which boasts a total calculated range of 500 miles. All that range doesn’t mean a drop in power, either, as the Humble One puts out a maximum of 1,020 horsepower. You can learn more about this potentially-game-changing EV at Humble’s website.
