For when a waterfront room just isn’t enough, Huis Ten Bosch – a Dutch-inspired theme park near Nagasaki, Japan – is slated to being offering the next generation of oceanview hotel rooms. Soon enough, visitors on their way to the themed dutch town located on an island in the bay will get to spend the night inside floating pod hotel rooms.
Once aboard, guests will enjoy an evening merrily floating along the tranquil bay for four miles before reaching the island in the morning. And after spending a day on the island, back to the pod they’ll go where they’ll once again drift back to “port” over the course of a second night. Each pod boasts two stories and about 125 square feet of living areas, beds, and full bathrooms. Plans are set to open the resort and initiate the pod feature by the end of the year. Prices will hover around $315 a night with a two-night minimum, obviously. However, how will they ensure that you arrive at the intended destination or offer room service to those in need? That info has yet to be released strangely enough.
