Creating Playboy in 1953, Hugh Hefner was an American mogul and pop culture icon. If anyone came close to “living the dream” it was him, at least from where we’re sitting. If you’re a fan of the rebel entrepreneur, Julien’s Auctions is putting several pieces from Hugh Hefner’s personal collection on the auction block.
The world-record breaking auction house will celebrate the legend who launched the game-changing men’s lifestyle magazine, building an empire from a dream, by presenting some of his valuables to bid on. You’ll have a chance to own Hefner’s complete personal set of bound volumes of Playboy magazines estimated to go for around $40,000. Hefner’s Playboy Legacy Collection Gold, which is a limited edition set of 48 chromogenic and gelatin silver prints, will also be up for grabs. And, some of his personal attire, such as his cufflinks, captain’s hat, iconic silk robe, and silk pajamas, will also be available. Mark your calendar for November 30 if you’re looking to own some of Hefner’s prized possessions.
