When it comes to conservative efforts, Hublot has never shied away from doing what’s right, and thanks to the company’s recent collaboration with Save Our Rhino Africa/India (SORAI), they’ve taken yet another step in the illumination of issues associated with one of the world’s most endangered species.
The company’s newly-introduced Big Bang Unico Sorai watch is a unique take on its original flagship, offering interested parties an extremely-limited look into the world of purposeful conservation. Inside, you’ll find Hublot’s iconic HUB1242 movement and self-winding chronograph, which features a 72-hour power reserve, alongside a beige skeleton dial, and lacquered appliques on each hand. A micro-blasted beige ceramic case and bezel adorn its exterior, framing the Big Bang’s specialized accents. But the watch’s mission is the true showstopper, here. To help in the fight against the poaching, and further degradation, of the world’s endangered Rhino population, Hublot has vowed to work alongside SORAI to support Care for Wild, one of the largest sanctuaries in Africa. The watch is available now via Hublot’s website for $24,100, with a large portion of the proceeds serving to support the company’s endeavor. Only 100 examples are slated for manufacture.
