Huawei Mate X Folding Smartphone

Though they started as more of a curiosity or novelty, it looks like flexible mobile devices are here to stay. And that’s all the more apparent now that tech giant Huawei has just thrown their hat in the ring with their Mate X folding smartphone.

Obviously, the design hinges on the phone’s folding OLED screens — which measure up at 6.6″ on the back, 6.38″ on the front, and 8″ in total when unfolded (just under the size of an iPad mini). But that’s hardly all that makes this device special. In fact, it also features a triple Leica camera system, including a 40MP wide-angle, 16MP ultra-wide angle, and 8MP telephoto sensors, respectively. The whole thing also runs on the brand’s Kirin 980 processor, has 8 gigs of RAM, 512 gigs of onboard storage with dual sim card slots for up to 256 more gigs, and up to 5G connectivity. And it’s all powered by a whopping 4,500 mAh battery. Pricing is set at $2,600.

Purchase: $2,600
