Seth Rogen’s Houseplant Goes Retro With A Stylish Pro-Ject Turntable

Houseplant, the startup founded by Seth Rogen and his writing partner Evan Goldberg, has mainly been known for their various cannabis offerings since launching in 2019. But there is also a “house” section of Houseplant that’s devoted to home goods, like this new retro-themed record player from Pro-Ject Audio Systems.

Using Pro-Ject’s T1 record player as a base, Houseplant and the audio company collaborated to make one stylish turntable. Finished in off-white and adorned with Houseplant’s logo and a multicolored streak of warm 1970s tones, the record player offers everything you love about the T1 but with Houseplant’s signature design language. That means you’re getting an 8mm zero resonance blasted glass platter, a plastic-free precision CNC‘d chassis, vibration-absorbing feet, and an aluminum tonearm. The player comes equipped with Pro-Ject’s specially-developed low-capacitance phono cables for plugging into a Hi-Fi sound system, as well as Bluetooth connectivity for streaming digital music wirelessly. The Houseplant x Pro-Ject Audio Systems T1 Record Player is available now for $450, with a limit of one per customer to give more buyers the opportunity to own one.
