Hotel Sidi Driss: Luke Skywalker’s Tatooine Home

It’s amazing that even with the internet around, we still manage to find gems like this. The Hotel Sidi Driss is your chance to spend an evening in Luke Skywalker’s childhood Tatooine home.

Okay so it’s not exactly located on Tatooine, but rather in Matmata, Tunisia. The famous scene was used for the filming of not only Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, but also the newer Episode II: Attack of the Clones. What the hotel lacks in modern luxury amenities, it makes up in nerdy nostalgia. For those of us that grew up on Star Wars films, this hotel carved into the cliffs really brings us right back to our childhood.  The best part of it all? It only costs $10 USD per night, and that includes breakfast. [Photography]
