Honda GL500-JPN By Motoism Customs
We see a lot of one-off custom motorcycles in our day-to-day. But often that leads to a bit of depression – as we know we can’t get our hands on any of those one-of-a-kind bikes. But, sometimes, we find a brand making custom-quality motorcycles in small batches – which gives us hope that we might one day get to ride one of these awesome vehicles. That’s the case with this one here: the Honda GL500-JPN by Motoism Customs.
Don’t get us wrong, these bikes are still made-to-order – they’re just a bit more accessible because more than one person has the opportunity to buy one. All told, ten will be made. Each vehicle, built from a 1980s Honda GL500 Silver Wing donor bike, features a liquid-cooled OHV 80° V-twin engine offering 37 ft-lbs of torque and 50 horsepower (though there is an optional upgrade for greater power). They’re also equipped with a custom fiberglass headlight, push-button controls, a digital tachometer, LED handlebar and rear-end turn signals, and a custom suede leather seat cowl and fibreglas tail. And every example fits both German and EU street-legal standards (which also makes it legal in the U.S, as their requirements are much more stringent).
