It’s hard to set yourself apart as an outdoor company with the torrential waterfall of similar offerings these days, especially when it comes to durable utilitarian jackets. Amidst the over-encumbered marketplace, Holden Outerwear has found a way to break off from the pack with a simple and purposeful new design, the M51 3-Layer Fishtail.

The M51 has a true outdoor construction, utilizing fully taped seams in its waterproof three-layer Japanese nylon. It has a signature snap-up fishtail hem on the rear of the jacket, as well as zippered underarm vents, a two-way adjustable hood, articulated sleeves, YKK Aquaguard zippers, and an internal zip pocket that features a cord port for your not-so-weather-resistant smart device. The jacket is also available in Shadow Grey and Black, perfect for a jaunt to the coffee shop or a weekend on the slopes.

Purchase: $380
