Hofats CUBE Fire Pit

Hanging around a fire pit and having a couple beers with good friends is just about as good as it gets – but when the night comes to an end, having to deal with all the smoke that comes with putting out a fire can be a bit of a pain. Thankfully, German designer Thomas Kaiser has found a solid solution with the stainless-steel Cube fire pit.

Kaiser built this cube so the fuel for your fire sits in a bowl that’s suspended by two points within the pit. Once you want to extinguish the fire, you throw on some good heat-resistant gloves, slowly turn the cube on its side, and then all the way over. The cube will deprive the flame of oxygen and just like that, your fire is out. The cube also comes with a grate for grilling, and a wooden top for covering when it isn’t in use. These pits are currently retailing for around $400. [Purchase]
