Emerging in 1798 on Orkney island off the North Coast of Scotland, the legendary Highland Park Whisky Distillery has been bottling treasures for a few lifetimes. Their Highland Park 50-Year-Old Whisky is one of their oldest and most prestigious bottlings to date.

Each rare single malt bottle is individually numbered and hand-signed by Highland Park’s Max McFarlane, the company’s longest-serving whisky producer. Distilled and hand-packaged from two sherry-seasoned Spanish hogshead casks in 1964, each embossed bottle holds a piece of history. The 85-proof whisky is initially sweet with hints of ripe black cherries and molasses-tinged sugar, accenting flavors of autumn fruits and toasted wood. Each bottle is housed in a bespoke oak box handmade by John Galvin, a Scottish master craftsman, and also comes with a silver decanter and a brown leather book telling the story of the whisky’s creation. Of the 274 bottles produced, only 77 are being made available in the United States.
