Hershey’s Nutella Inspired Chocolate Spreads

Nutella has been around for 50 years now — 50! –but for whatever reason, the creamy chocolate spread has seen its US sales triple over the past 5 years to an astounding $240 million. As expected, here comes the competition. From the Well That Took a While department comes Hershey’s with its own new line of chocolate-flavored spreads.

There’s chocolate, chocolate with almond, and chocolate with hazelnut. Of course the timing truly sucks for those of us with New Year’s resolutions—2 tablespoons of the almond version contains 200 calories, 12 grams of fat, and 21 grams of sugar. But let’s face it, you’re gonna eat it anyway. The only question is, what won’t you put it on? We’re guessing scallions, rodents, and VHS tapes round out the short list. Jars are currently for $3.79 at a supermarket near you. Run! [Purchase]
