Herschel, the indie backpack company whose cult following has propelled them to a major player in the industry, has just announced a new line of products. Departing somewhat from the bright canvas-and-straps look, but retaining the same classic design principles, Herschel’s new line of backpacks uses an innovative technology called ApexKnit.
This fabric, made from a high tensile jacquard yarn, allows Herschel to remove components while retaining utility. The Apex Dayton pack has a sleek and silhouetted design to it with braided details on the surface of the bag. The Dayton is built with a neoprene padded 13-inch laptop sleeve with organizers, pull-tab zippers, and straps filled with foam and a lycra membrane for comfort. You can pick one of these up for $179. [Purchase]
