Helly Hansen & Vail Resort Pair Up On A Winterized Premium Ski Jacket

Helly Hansen is deeply embedded within the backcountry culture, providing a number of the industry’s most trusted technical garments for skiing, snowboarding, and adventure. If you’ve braved at least one of Colorado’s legendary snow-covered destinations, it’s likely that you’ve seen the company’s attractive offerings — but now, they’ve decided to cater to true slopestyle connoisseurs with an ultra-exclusive Lifaloft Jacket, courtesy of the state’s Vail Resort.

The collaboration between the two snow-faring giants has been highly anticipated, and, in true Helly Hansen fashion, there’s much more to the Lifaloft than meets the eye. Not only do buyers receive a one-of-a-kind technical jacket that’s been outfitted with the company’s four-way stretch Professional Fabric, a proprietary Life Pocket, and lightweight insulation from PrimaLoft, but they’ll also garner VIP status at Vail Mountain, as well as all of Vail Resort’s owned and operated escapes, including Beaver Creek, Park City, and Heavenly. With each purchase, hard-chargers will also be able to take part in guided tours of Vail’s Back Bowls, First Tracks with Helly Hansen, and 2019/2020 Epic Pass benefits — like lodging, dining, and rental — at a discounted rate. On the Lifaloft’s exterior, the companies pay homage to the mountain’s prestigious past, implementing an exclusively-designed logo badge that’s reminiscent of the 10th Mountain Division’s original patch. With only 200 jackets slated for production, the Lifaloft will be available in the fall at four select North American retailers for $1,052.
