Heineken Built A Mobile AI-Guided Smart Cooler To Deliver You Beers

Over the last year, an increasing number of high-profile beer companies have been trying out unique and novel means of marketing through the release of unorthodox offerings, from collaborative apparel lines to custom video game consoles. However, Heineken’s take on an unconventional product just might be the most noteworthy to date, with what the Dutch brand has christened the “Beer Outdoor Transporter” — or “B.O.T.” for short.

This Boston Dynamics-style robot contains LiDAR sensors and an AI system that allows it to navigate buildings or open areas. Its six-wheeled platform also affords it the ability to easily traverse grass, gravel, or other (very) light off-road applications. The B.O.T. also contains an integrated hard-sided cooler that can accommodate a full 12-pack of beer, and features what Heineken calls a “charming AI personality.” Rather than being sold through traditional retail channels, Heineken is offering these limited-edition BOTs through a giveaway on its website starting July 1. For more information, you can visit the Heineken B.O.T. website or the promo video, both of which are directly below.
