The “smart gloves” might get your eyes rolling, but don’t worry, the Heat 3 Smart Gloves don’t feature any built-in Wi-Fi; they’re just smart gloves.

Originally designed for the German and Austrian special armed forces and the bitter cold they’d endure, these gloves are waterproof, windproof and breathable, with an outer shell made from an elastic microfiber. They feature a silver lining at the thumb and index finger tips so you can use a touch screen if you need to. The goat leather palm adds to both the durability and grip factor. When it comes to keeping your digits warm, you not only get four ounces of Primaloft insulation and a Mitten finger flap, but pockets on the backside of each glove is perfect for placing heat packs or knick-knacks into. Lastly, wrist safety harnesses to ensure these $200 gloves don’t go wandering off. [Purchase]
