HBO Now
It’s official, the world of a la carte television is finally here. Cord cutters rejoice, because HBO has just announced the details on their new service, HBO Now.
It may have taken a bit longer than many of us had hoped for, but it’s finally here – HBO’s long awaited, fully standalone subscription service. For $14.99 a month, users get access to over 2,000 titles online including both television shows and movies. Essentially it’s everything you’ve been getting on HBO Go, but without the huge cable bill to go along with it. The service will launch exclusively through Apple TV, iPad and iPhone, and potential customers can get a free 30-day trial of the service by simply signing up in April through an Apple device. And the best part of all? It will be available just in time for the Game of Thrones season 5 debut on April 12th. [Purchase]
