Part utilitarian performance outlet, part stylish clothing supplier, HAVEN is a brand that’s well-versed in making cold-weather gear that’s as functionally sound as it is fashionably inclined. Thus, it’s only fitting that the Canadian-based outfitter’s latest project would be an eye-catching footwear collaboration with none other than Nike and its in-house ACG line.
Meet the Mountain Fly Low, a riff on the ACG Mountain Fly silhouette that the Big Swoosh dropped just before the end of last year. Like its predecessor, it comes heavily influenced by Nike’s world-class marathon shoe, the Vaporfly NEXT%. In practice, this means that it features a React midsole for softness with a full-length carbon fiber plate to give it some added stability. When it comes to the upper, you’ll find that things are similarly performance-inspired. For instance, it’s made from a tonal ripstop that’s not only lightweight and water-resistant but also reflective for nighttime visibility. And because it’s secured by a nylon webbing speed lacing system, it’s incredibly fast to slip on and off. Riding on a tacky, thick-lugged outsole, the ACG Mountain Fly Low is a shoe that looks the part and wears just as hard. It drops on January 30th for $185.
