If room-filling quality sound is your goal, you could hire Susan Boyle to stand in your living room, but she might get a leg cramp or something and then you’ve got problems. A much better bet is the new Harman Kardon Aura Wireless Speaker System. It promises rich cramp-free audio and it boasts a truly unique design.

Specs-wise, the Aura has 6 X 1.5” high- and mid-range drivers and a 4.5” subwoofer, plus it shoots out in all directions—this is omnidirectional, 360º sound. Streaming is set with built-in Bluetooth, AirPlay, and DLNA support. But maybe the biggest star is the aesthetics, with its transparent enclosure which lets you see the subwoofer and illuminating LED pump out your tunes. Ms. Boyle holding a flashlight under her chin just doesn’t compare. [Purchase]
