Our neighbors at the Los Angeles location of the Australian based Deus Ex Machina recently put together this beautifully crafted custom Harley Davidson C&J Low Boy aptly titled “The American.”

The project was spearheaded by the Michael Woolaway with one simple goal; to create a stunning cafe racer that relied on mostly American built parts. The bike’s Harley-Davidson Sportster engine has been upgraded from top to bottom with upgraded rods, forged pistons, and big valve cylinder heads to really open this bad boy up.  The aesthetic appeal is rather subtle, with an all black paint job and twin tip exhaust finishing off the look.
