Handmade Alfa Romeo Guitar
Sports cars and electric guitars have a lot in common: in the right hands they are capable of amazing performance, and even in the wrong hands, there’s still gonna be a gaggle of girls interested in the owner. So imagine the stack of women you’d have to fight through if you owned a custom made Alfa Romeo guitar.
This beauty from Harrison Custom Guitar Works seeks to replicate the same passion and curves that you get with an Alfa Romeo. There’s the use of carbon fiber composite behind the grille bars and in the back, plus milled aluminum pickups, tail piece and bridge, along with a maple-fronted poplar body decked out in Alfa Red. A carbon-reinforced 25-inch scale neck in Korina topped by an Ebony fingerboard delivers decadence in abundance, and the Alfa Romeo badge even gets in the act, serving as the guitar’s volume control. Just 11 of these rare instruments will be made, and each one will be going for about $6,800. [Purchase]
