Last year, we were treated to the stunning announcement trailer for Tenet, an espionage-filled thriller revolving around actors John David Washington and Rober Pattinson. Within the film, several of the story’s central characters take on established wristwear from Hamilton — and now, the brand is releasing a limited-edition variant of an already-lauded watch, celebrating its inclusion within the upcoming theatrical release.
The Hamilton Khaki Navy BeLOWZERO ‘Tenet’ Watch was created and produced under the watchful eye of director Christopher Nolan, with the in-film variant slated to play a large role in the movie’s overarching plot. While the timekeeper contracted for the thriller has been outfitted with a handful of espionage-inspired components, the real-world BeLOWZERO remains relatively true to its original design. It’s not new, in any sense of the word, but Hamilton has partnered with production designer Nathan Crowley to give the blacked-out essential a spy-like packaged enclosure, as well as a small dash of color, thanks to its red/electric-blue arrow-tipped seconds hand. Regardless, the watch still boasts a dive-worthy 1000-meter water resistance rating, a precise ETA 2826-2 automatic movement, and a timeless silhouette that errs on the side of utilitarianism. Only 888 examples are slated for production, so head to Hamilton’s website to pick up one of your own for $2,210.
