Released in conjunction with their Karma Drone comes GoPro’s newest addition to the famed action camera family -the Hero5- which will become available October 2. And if you think this is just another GoPro release, think again. Their newest offering now hosts a slew of additional options we’ve never seen before.
For starters, users can now enjoy voice control where the camera will snap a photo whenever prompted by “GoPro, take a photo.” No more screenshots from video or needing to manually push a button. The new version also features a two-inch touch display, allowing for video editing and photo playback, is waterproof up to 10 meters without a housing, and boasts a one button control to automatically start recording. Quality-wise the Hero5 captures stunning video thanks to advanced video stabilization, shoots in 4k video/12mp photo, offers exposure control, GPS, stereo audio, and formats photos in either RAW or WDR. You can also get a 2-year coverage plan or opt for a 64GB SD Card as well. Prices are set for $400. [Purchase]
