GoPro Fusion Spherical Camera
Last April we got a teaser of the GoPro Fusion camera – able to shoot 360-degree panoramic action shots of your favorite outdoor activities. Now, it’s available today for pre-order and GoPro has released a bit more info on the camera for interested parties.
In terms of its technical construction, the Fusion actually gets its name from its two camera construction. With one in the front and one in the back, they simultaneously record footage via their 5.2k/30fps cameras and seamlessly blends the two together into one 360-degree image. The Fusion also comes equipped with a several additional features as well such as Overcapture that allows you to pull individual videos and images from the entire shot; Angel View, where footage appears to have been shot from a camera floating above the subject; Little Planet, where the footage becomes a spherical landscape; and Panoflow, offering a time lapse of the panoramic footage. It’s available now for $700 and is slated to begin shipment in November.
