Google Chromecast 2 & Chromecast Audio
Google unveiled some significant updates to their Chromecast streaming media player, most notably to the actual physical shape of the device. The company also debuted the Chromecast Audio, which allows you to beam music from your favorite apps on your favorite devices to your favorite speakers in your home.
The updated media player, which works with many of your smartphone’s media apps like YouTube, Netflix, Hulu Plus, ESPN, and more, is now circular, and now supports 5GHz WiFi. The app has also received a significant update, working more as a channel guide for your device. As far as the Chromecast Audio is concerned, it simply lugs into any aux in plug, allowing you to stream your favorite music apps directly to your home stereo’s speakers. Both are available now for $35 each.
