You didn’t think Google would idly stand by as their rival unveiled an all new MacBook did you? Google has updated their flagship model notebook with the unveiling of the Chromebook Pixel.

As the name would suggest, this thing is outfitted with a hi-res touchscreen display featuring 239ppi, 2560×1700 resolution. Paired with Intel HD graphics, this setup provides picture perfect, super bright clarity, even when being used in direct sunlight. This portable laptop is equipped with a more powerful Intel Core i5 processor running on the minimal Chrome OS, 8GB of ram for top speed, and your choice of 32GB or 64GB of flash storage. The device is constructed from durable, yet lightweight aluminum and offers up to 12 hours of battery life, meaning you can stay unplugged longer. If you do find yourself with a dead battery, the Pixel will fully recharge itself in just 2 hours 15 minutes. Google has also outfitted their flagship Chromebook with two USB Type-C ports, supporting high bandwidth data transfers, charging, and 4K display out. And because it will take some time to get everything converted, there’s also two USB 3.0 ports. The Pixel will start at $1,000. [Purchase]
