Google’s Amsterdam Offices
They may have stiffened up over the past decade, but compared to most other massive corporations, Google is still quite the free spirit. Now take that spirit and combine it with the anything-goes vibe that Amsterdam is famous for, and you get a pretty wild place to do your 9 to 5.
Designed by D/DOCK, Google’s Amsterdam offices pay homage to the garage in which Google’s founders created the Internet giant. There’s plenty of brick wallpaper, vibrant furniture, graffiti, open ceilings, and a host of other unique touches. Each floor has its own “cave” dedicated to your typical company needs, but then there’s also a potpourri of niceties, including a meditation room, desk bikes, and a gym. The gingerbread wall coverings nod to the Dutch culture, while the office soars on the sustainability front with its smart energy and water consumption.
