GoFoil SUP HydroFoil Board
Years ago big-wave surfer Laird Hamilton developed the hydrofoil surfboard that’s sole purpose was to enhance the big wave surfing experience. The board was positioned to hover above the ocean’s surface while the hydrofoil slices through the water like butter preventing the board from coming in contact the choppy ocean surface. Now, this technology has entered the world of Stand Up Paddleboarding with the SUP GoFoil.
The paddle board seamlessly hovers on top of the water and the GoFoil attaches to the bottom of the board, and once you hit a certain speed, either on a wave, from paddling, or once enough wind gets trapped under your board, the GoFoil will lift the board and the rider above the water, providing the rider with a flying sensation. It reduces friction and drag, and riders have reached speeds of up to 20mph on the open ocean, faster and smoother than anything you’ve experienced before. Check out the video below for more. The GoFoil is priced at $1750. [Purchase]
