Any knife handler worth his salt is probably familiar with the names Jesper Voxnaes (Vox for short) and Jens Ansø. Both growing up in Denmark these two gentlemen are some of the best in the business when it comes to designing and building custom knives. Now, California-based GiantMouse Knives is utilizing the designs of these two brilliant minds in the development of their no-nonsense knives constructed with the outdoorsman in mind.
This offering, dubbed the GMF2, is the newest fixed blade design from the likes of Vox and Ansø. Based on the style of knives they grew up using in Denmark, the GiantMouse GMF2 Fixed Blade is a contemporary nod to an old Nordic work blade. Each fixed blade features a micarta handle that’s designed to make this piece a comfortable and hardy option while in the field and comes complete with a Bohler N690 Cobalt high-performance powder steel blade measuring in at 3.62” in length. This, combined with a handle length of 4.43” contributes to an overall length of 8.12”. Each knife also comes with a handmade leather sheath also designed by Ansø and Vox for this handsome piece.
