Our favorite paranormal fighting professors are back in female form with the just-released trailer for the newest rendition of America’s most proficient ghost removal service. Ghostbusters, set to hit theaters this summer, stars Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones.
The rendition is directed by Paul Feig, who also happened to be the director Bridesmaids of which both Wiig and McCarthy enjoyed breakout performances. The plot involves a pair of unsuccessful authors (Wiig and McCarthy) who claim that ghosts exist. Years after getting laughed out of academia, ghosts invade Manhattan, and it’s up to these misfitted authors, a nuclear engineer (McKinnon), and a subway worker (Jones), who happens to fall upon their team, to save the world. The film’s slated to hit the big screen on July 15th, 2016.
