The Chevrolet Corvette has been one of the world’s most popular tuning platforms for quite some time now, and the advent of electronic motors has only made it better by bringing it into prominence with other, more notable supercars. The newest GXE all-electric Corvette by Maryland-based EV manufacturer Genovation has thrust the infamous car into the spotlight once again — and it’s even broken a few world records along the way.
The GXE is a monster on all accounts, utilizing around 800-horsepower thank’s to its twin motor layout — pairing well with 700 lb-ft of torque and the car’s gratuitous 220 miles-per-hour top speed. Its all-electric powertrain was produced with a focus on sheer performance, donning a dual-stack twin motor layout and a 250kW battery pack that helps the car achieve its 175-mile range. The GXE houses a seven-speed manual transmission that’s exclusive to the supercar, as well as a dual clutch paddle shift automatic variant. The aesthetics of the vehicle are nothing to scoff at, either — its dramatic blue and red colorways adorn a collection of sleek body panels, a lower profile ride height, and carbon fiber peripherals, along with carbon ceramic Brembo brakes and active aerodynamics. The car’s interior delivers a fully programmable suspension system, an ultra-high-fidelity JBL audio system, bespoke upholstery, and a 10.4-inch custom touch screen to round out the futuristic build.
