Garmin’s Gaming Smartwatch Lets You Stream Your Stress Level & Heart Rate

Modern fitness trackers and smartwatches have long allowed users to track real-time performance metrics through the use of onboard pulse, heart rate, and blood oxygen sensors, and the like, though Garmin is now harnessing this technology for a novel use, bestowing these features into a purpose-built smartwatch made for gamers.

Dubbed the Garmin Instinct Esports Edition Smartwatch, this special variant of the Instinct is built around a 45mm fiber-reinforced polymer case with a matching bezel and silicone strap. Onboard fitness tracking sensors and the brand’s STR3AMUP!™ feature allow gamers to live-stream their stress levels and heart rate alongside their gameplay. The battery also offers up to 80 hours of use in Esports mode and a full two weeks in regular smartwatch mode, and the watch also sports a blacked-out colorway with blood-red accents that’s unique to this special edition smartwatch. The Instinct Esports Edition also maintains all the normal fitness and sleep tracking features of the regular model. Available now, the Garmin Instinct Esports Edition Smartwatch is priced at $300.
