Garmin Fenix Chronos
Despite the fact that lots of people were critical of smart watches initially (an easy stance to take after the Google Glass failure), it seems that they do have some real staying power. A look at Garmin’s new Fenix Chronos is illustrative as to why.
Not only is this watch incredibly capable, but it embraces the traditional look and appeal of a rugged and stylish watch. Just under the scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass is a multi-colored screen that can give you read outs on a staggering number of things. Along with serving as a tracker for your daily routine, (walking to work etc.) it has a wide array of sport modes ranging from Running to SUP, and skiing. The watch is also set up to give you notifications about incoming emails, texts, phone calls, and even weather alerts. On a hike through the mountains? Fenix also serves as barometer, altimeter, and compass. The folks at the Swiss headquartered company are offering this watch either in full titanium, or in stainless steel with a leather or stainless band. Prices start at $899. [Purchase]
