Galpin Ford GTR1: 1,000 Horsepower Supercar

Dec 4, 2019

Category: Rides

The Ford GT doesn’t always get the recognition it deserves on the supercar scene, but we’re thinking the folks at Galpin may have changed the minds of many automotive enthusiasts out there with the release of their Galpin Ford GTR1.

The team at Galpin have taken the already monstrous Ford GT, and transformed it into one of the most lethal vehicles on the road. The mid-mounted, twin-turbocharged 5.4 liter V8 motor is pumping out an Earth shaking 1,024 horsepower along with 739 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to a reworked carbon fiber constructed body, this 3,000 pound two door sprints to sixty in just 3.1 seconds, while reaching triple digit speeds in 6.8 seconds. A near perfect weight distribution of 49/51 along with a set of carbon ceramic brakes for stopping power means this thing will punish the competition on the race track. Did we mention it can reach a top speed of 225 mph? Only 6 units will be made, and each one will be carrying a price tag of $1,024,000.
