The new Pure Gold G-D5000-9JR is the brand’s very own tribute to “the luxury watch.”

Sporting a solid 18k yellow gold construction, the new G-D5000-9JR boasts both a look and feel similar to G-Shock’s 2015 concept, the “Dream Project.” It inherits the durability and preparedness that were trademarks of the brand’s Full Metal line, integrating quality-of-life improvements to the casing, screws, and band, which are now clad in solid gold. A hefty 200-meter water resistance pairs with the watch’s durable composition, bringing wearers the ultimate in purposeful diving wristwear. A limited run of 35 units places the Pure Gold G-D5000-9JR into the realm of the collector — and for around $70,000, you’ll be able to reserve the watch — which is set to release through a handful of selected Japanese retailers in May.
