G-SHOCK’s multi-generational lineage of creating the industry’s toughest and most formidable watches hasn’t gone unnoticed. Today, the brand is revered as one of the wristwear world’s most resilient companies and, although its almost 40-year history speaks volumes of its products, there are a select few that stand apart from the rest. The GM6900 is one such example, which base model is the iconic DW6900.
G-SHOCK introduced the original DW6900 all the way back in 1995 and was very well-received by the company’s expansive audience. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the watch’s release, the Japanese brand has decided to resurrect the timeless silhouette, calling upon a durable stainless steel metal bezel, shock resistant internals, an electro-luminescent backlight, and 200-meters of water resistance to revitalize its once-dated technology. A CR2016 battery promises users over two years of battery life, while an entire suite of multi-functional alarms, hourly time signals, and a full auto-calendar are always at the ready. If you’re not a fan of the watch’s golden exterior, the elegant wrist accessory is also available in either a red or silver colorway. Look for the updated GM6900G to hit G-SHOCK’s store and online hub on February 14, where it will retail for $230.
